When it says something like "Shockingly, you parry the attack in a feat of pure luck." is it really pure luck? Or is it just random? Or is it like... umm... I'm guessing that there's a sort of random dice-roll-type-thing in combat. Say it's... like a d20. You're way above the thing's level, so even a roll of 1 will be a successful parry... but since it's a 1, you get the "pure luck" message? Something like that? |

I've been wondering about this also. I often get "lucky" hits or dodges, aside from the fact that I hunt well below my level. _________________ Behind every optic is a mathematic. |

Yea the same for attacking too? Like 'stumbling awkwardly' as opposed to 'in a display of raw power' or 'true skill'. Are they just random messages and have nothing to do with actual skill level? _________________ It is better to be pissed off than pissed on. |

Well, I just fought some asapi and had some "pure luck" parries, so I'm guessing that it's either random or based on roll. I really doubt it's actually based on skill.
As for the attacking messages, I'm thinking it'll be the same, either random or based on roll, not skill. |

The messaging engine sucks. It's random. That engine has no actual idea how close it was, it just knows hit or miss. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Man, and I thought I was being pretty clever with my dice-roll stuff. |

Your kick strikes a borkin settler's back with monstrous force, causing it to implode on impact.
A borkin settler exhales one last time and falls still.
