Agents and trackers can now purchase caches (trackers from the skin shop on Jareya Island, agents from Picker's Place). What you can do is put them on the ground and HIDE them, to store items away from the prying eyes of vault officials. You can then SEARCH to find where you put it and PULL it out of hiding. Agents can hide theirs in urban areas while Trackers can hide theirs in rural. Amount of time it can stay hidden depends on skill, anywhere from a week or so on.

Plans for later on (no promises on it being done before live) are trackers being able to make their own bigger ones, and agents being able to hide them longer and maybe have more then one.

Be careful about leaving them hidden too long, wouldn't want to let a creature find it and take it. Twisted Evil

I got a couple questions about the cache system if someone could clarify for me.

If I get the gist of Hunter's post, when you forget about yoru cache for too long creatures come and take your items and they then eventually end up in boxes.

If this is so is it random what type of critter they go to?

If you do loose your items, do you loose the actual cache as well, or can you pick up the empty parcel?

Yup.

You'd lose it, though if you're lucky you could find one too.

Sorry but I don't follow again. Is it possible to find other people's caches, or are the critters hiding them too?

Not find them searching, finding them in a box.

Is the secluded beach on Chodaku Isle a rural spot or urban or none of the above? Cause I cant seem to be able to hide my cache there. Is there a way one can tell if a room is urban or rural?

Easiest way is to survey and look for concrete. Not 100% but mostly effective.

It's come to my attention that people are searching their caches opening them, doing their buisness, and letting them fade back into hiding without actually pulling them out and hiding them again. Searching doesn't reset the timer, only hiding it does, and people are losing caches. This is now impossible, it must now be pulled from hiding to open it.

So the caches that have been already lost for the people who did make this mistake, are back in their orginal hiding spot? Or are they gone forever only to be stashed in a critters box?

Gone. The one you specifically refer to has actually been found in a box already, too late to put it back now, though that's the one that made me decide to put this block in. I thought I was pretty clear when I originially said "be careful about leaving them hidden too long", if it's still hidden when you're digging around in it then it's still hidden and time is still ticking, but I guess it wasn't clear enough, thus the change.
