That's what I used to do, too. E/Mos are great for nuking and then reviving the warriors that are too retarded to retreat when they're falling below a quarter of their max HP. Kind of sucks, though, because it makes using the Rebirth spell such a hassle. All of your elementalist spells are geared toward you having upwards of 80 max energy (like me), so using a Monk spell that saps all of your energy just sucks... and all for the benefit of teleporting the corpse to you, out of danger.
So anyway, I switched to Necromancer secondary (you can do this after you ascend, for those that don't know). I'm still tweaking my line-up, but I think I'm going to settle on losing all of my elementalist spells in favor of a full Necro set. Keep my Energy Storage attribute maxed and bam, a super necro is me!

I'm necromancer secondary, and pretty much the only skill from that profession I use is Life Siphon as part of my attack regimen. _________________ Mickey Brunner

Well of Blood is pretty great, especially when you have enough attribute points to get it up to +5 health regen. In the first post-ascension mission, in which you fight several badass dragons (who have elite skills for you to capture, by the way), I was able to keep my whole group alive with wells and without anyone have any monk skills loaded.
Now that's an accomplishment.
I just need to hunt down the boss with the Well of Power elite. <3 energy regen bonus.

I haven't played in awhile.
A monk is me though, I can't even remember my level...I'm still hanging out around the snowy mountain area, even though I ran all the way to and a good ways into the western jungle type area with a group one night :p |

I just Ascended today. I think I was naively hoping that people would be "better" after that, but I had the most annoying group while doing the Dragon's Lair mission. Somehow we managed to complete it even after 3 people left the group because of the leader's recklessness (of course a W/Mo). I'm sure it had to do with my super awesome 1337 heals. _________________ ** The phrase "break a leg" just wasn't ambitious enough for Mellie Knight. [8:31 pm]

I forgot to make the announcement, but I beat the game a couple of days ago. I won't give anything away, though I will say that the final battle is pretty disappointingly easy.
I can't wait for the free public expansions. Until then, I suppose I'm going to train up a W/Mo and go farming in either Riverside Provence or The Fissure.

While I'm not usually one to brag , I finally got some decent items on a UW/FOW run after 10 runs of absolute junk. Two chaos axes, an obsidian shard, and this:
Now it's just 75 more ectoplasm and 74 more shards til I can buy my armor.... _________________ ** The phrase "break a leg" just wasn't ambitious enough for Mellie Knight. [8:31 pm]

I can't seem to find Sorrow's Furnace. Of course, I'm not looking very hard either... _________________ Mickey Brunner

That's a lot of death. I've only died 89 times. And has anyone had any luck with chests? I've lost money on every key I've used so far, but I keep buying them just in case. |
