When we first start are we going to get any sort of money to help get us on our feet?
If so? Will you be generous? You know you want to. |

I'd ge against that, I'm not for handouts. Whats the point if we just start with a lot of money which we can go buy all the good stuff with? _________________ Dragoonseal |

Whoa, these boards changed. Caught me off guard.
At any rate, even if it was a debt, I'd still like enough money to say - get two different outfits. (And I'm not talking about mega-expensive ones, just...maybe thrift store stuff) BESIDES getting JUST the tools you need to start up.
I wasn't trying to insinuate full bank account - just a helping hand. |

In most RPGS, you are given your characters main weapon and armour. A few dollars and some unique items. I'm not sure how Hael would do this thought...
In my opinion, I don't want loads of gold and items at the start, I like earning things. _________________ I made the 1000th post! -Uber |

It is very unlikely you will start with any money. That could change, but it's the current plan.
That said, players will start with a number of items beyond what you'd normally expect, including rather nice looking outfits, all said, tools relative to your profession, and some other special items. To prevent abuse, only you will be able to use your more special starter items -- even rerolling with the same name will cause the item to no longer function. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

This is kind of a newbie question that relates to cash, so I thought I'd put it here.
How do we drop money? Can we put it in containers? |

Previously you couldn't, but I just added it in so you can.
To drop $100:
DROP 100
DROP 100 CASH
To put $100 in a backpack
PUT 100 IN BACKPACK
PUT 100 CASH IN BACKPACK
Note: Don't use the dollar sign in your command. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

How will the ability to put money in any container affect the future Stealing system? Will enough skill allow you to touch the stowed away cash, or will there be some "precautions" that will need to be taken to keep your stowed cash safe (ie. closing the container the money is in, putting that container in another container -- box in backpack, for example -- et al)?

That would be for Solphan to decide mostly. I would wager that money placed in an open container would be up for grabs, so to speak. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

What Trevor said.
I have a few additional ideas, but I'll wait until the system's out before revealing them. _________________ pro.gram.mer (n) - a device which converts caffeine into code |
