I get that feint should have had it's RT increased if it was just way too unreasonably short, but I always thought feint was the short quick [and weaker?] pierce attack for melee weapons. Right now it looks like feint now has the same RT as slash/bash/thrust/etc.
It's not that i'm disputing the RT increase, I'm just unsure of what the mechanics are that makes feint different than thrust for most people. I think Mercs get some kind of feint follow up attack, but that's about it. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

It features a few different things that aren't present in standard attacks, actually. And it's still half-broken, and one of the first things I'm going to tackle when I start on revamping combat.
The truth is, it was being exploited (deliberately or no) for a long while. I've known about it for just about as long (so, those of you who thought you were getting away with something, think again), but let it go because I didn't realize the magnitude to which it was happening. Contrary to popular argument, it's not a typically 'weaker' attack; when I tested using the stats of the most frequent users of FEINT, I was seeing critical+ hits for absurdly low roundtime (see here, dated March 10th 2007, for excellent example).
Hope that clarifies some. _________________ Mickey Brunner

Fair enough! I know I liked it for the shorter RT, but thought that it was a jab vs a punch type of deal (so fient vs thrust). _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!
