Did you install the wizard and the launcher? If you ran the FullWizardSetup.EXE, that should install both.
Are you trying to connect with GoPlay or via the website play link? _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

You can do this. Create a text file on your hard drive in notepad or something and put the following in it:
Code: |
UPPORT=5535
GAME=WIZ
GAMECODE=GS
FULLGAMENAME=Wizard Front End
GAMEFILE=WIZARD.EXE
GAMEHOST=24.129.5.205
GAMEPORT=3001
KEY=WIZLOGIN X|X|X
|
Name the file hael.sal and then double click on it. When you connect you'll get an error about invalid account or password, just ignore it.
Later once you have an account and character, change the KEY= line to be:
KEY=WIZLOGIN Account|Password|Character
Example:
KEY=WIZLOGIN BSMITH|bluetoes|Bob Smith
If you prefer one of the other wizard modes, change the GAMECODE= from GS to DR, MO or HX. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

You can right click somewhere on your desktop and choose New -> Text Document.
If you have problems there, you could also hold down the windows key on your keyboard and press R to bring up the "Run" dialog. Type notepad and hit enter.
Paste what I put there into notepad and save the file somewhere handy like your desktop perhaps, as hael.sal _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Good deal. My next suggestion was going to be to try:

Thats what I keep getting after tracking down the gse file and seeing that the game port and ip addy had been changed, this is what I have right now.
UPPORT=5535
GAME=WIZ
GAMECODE=DR
FULLGAMENAME=Wizard Front End
GAMEFILE=WIZARD.EXE
GAMEHOST=198.83.208.176
GAMEPORT=4901
KEY=WIZLOGIN USERNAME|(hidden)|1
I have my proper Username and password in the file, and it connects just fine but the edisconects after reading the key, and gives me the INVALD KEY responce

I have modified my prior post. The address has changed from haelrahv.com to game.haelrahv.com, but I suggest using our static IP instead: 24.129.5.205. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Another troubleshooting tip. When you go to launch the game via a .SAL you have created, you may receive the following:
The product you are trying to start doesn't exist or there is no 32-bit version available.
Solution: One or more lines in your .SAL probably has a space or tab character at the end. For each line in the file, hit the 'end' key to go to the end of the line and if it seems to have a blank/space character, backspace it out. Re-save your .SAL and try again. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
