Yeah, I guess that makes sense... you could make a command to turn it on and off, maybe... something like this:
>map on
***This will repeatedly echo the assess map to the (whatever) window. In order for this to function, you must have your (whatever) window open. Are you SURE that you want to turn this on? If so, enter MAP ON again.
Just an idea. It would probably have the same problems as before, though, and no doubt create some lag. |

Cyril or I'd have to do testing to confirm, but the lag generated by the feature may outweigh the benefit. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

For the athleticly inclined (or anyone feeling a little "froggy"). you can now LEAP around the battlefield... Useful, and less taxing than running, though definately not nearly as precise. Have fun and let me know if there's any problems or questions. _________________ They are listening...

Athletically inclined.. ::grunts:: ..could you get the human to drop the gnome or put in another trainer so we can actually train athletics?
Sounds like fun though, thanks

You move to leap at an asapi, but trip up at the last second and fall flat on your face!
Ok, that's enough leaping for me. _________________ >ask librarian about books

You bend your knees slightly and fling yourself forward. You tuck your head at the last second and roll accross the ground, springing up into a ready position. |
Typo aside, I love it. Each leap gets me about a third of the way closer to melee, which will be even better when range actually matters. Curious, though: does Acrobatics + Agility determine how far you end up leaping, or is it on some random luck factor?
Also, would it be possible to leap in directions on the assess map? It'd really be nice, especially since leaping takes less stamina than dashing.

I believe distance is based on Athletics + strength and how well you land on Acro + agil. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Strength and athletics will help you leap farther, acrobatics and coordination help you land well, and agility helps to a degree all around.
Glad you enjoy it! And I do plan on adding dirrectional leaping. _________________ They are listening...

Shove works now, no really, you just probably need to be alot stronger to use it regularly. Of course stregnth is #1 in determining it, and I hope you've all been training tactics.
As always, any problems, suggestions, or complaints, just let me know. _________________ They are listening...

Umm.. if you say so.

Repeat ad nauseum.. apparently 40 strength isn't enough

When Levitation comes out.. will we still be able to dash while using it? And, if so, will that take a bit off of the stamina hit?

High stregnth alone won't make you shove well, and bad balance will make it near impossible, good balance makes it way easier. It's also harder to shove some things than others. If you went and shoved someone with 10 strength and the same tactics as you (especially if you were well balanced) you'd toss em around pretty good I'd immagine.
When levitation's in, I'll update the engagement system to work with it. But most likely it'll have it's own forms of movement. _________________ They are listening...
