[11.06.07] Focus costs, durations and other mechanics have changed for most spells. Some experimentation will be needed to realize the full range of changes. Some highlights:
- The lowest level elemental attacks (Icy Aura, Singeing Strike, Jolt, Acid Bolt) no longer require any focus to cast.
- Damage shields (Static Cloak, Corrosive Armor, Magma Shield, Glacial Coat) cost increasingly higher amounts of focus to cast when stacked together. It's possible to have several of these shields active at once, but costly.
- Proficiency and Mastery casting costs increase when both are used at the same time.
- While costly, it is much easier to use Null Gravity as an ongoing buff if desired.
- Excessive roundtimes have been removed from higher end elemental attacks.
- Grow can be used more easily as a full time buff, if desired.
- Some buffs now have a much longer base duration, such as Armor Aura.

Randall and I carefully went over the numbers involved in all of these changes and came to an agreement on them. I think they'll be well balanced, but we may tweak as testing continues.

Nice new [layered] cap for Null as well. 28 min 30 sec Very Happy

Can Grow can become layered, as well?

sweet, thank you. godzilla yaru will now strike.

as a sidenote, can something be done about shrink? the only thing i can target right now is myself, and i don't see that big of a reason to penalize my own already low strength (although yaru being one foot eight inches is kinda hilarious).

i know i can't other player cast for pvp reasons, but i'd love to at least know i could cast it on critters if i wanted too. lowering their strength would be fun but making it reduce the multi penalty due to how tiny they may become (or making it take longer for them to advance/retreat due to midget-ocity) could be even fun...ner.

- The duration for Grow can now be extended by repeat casting.
- It is now possible to Shrink NPC opponents. This will dramatically affect
their strength score, but has no other effect on the creature.
- It is now possible to cast Grow on scavenged creatures.
