Ok so Seth has both the Urban and Rural versions of this ability, which til last night I thought was just reduced round time in Urban/Rural settings. But I always did think it was odd that I didn't have to SNEAK through portals (doors, arches, etc.), and would get no round time for simply GOing through them. But after talking with Yaru, and setting my Wizard FE to turn auto sneak while hidden off, I realized I have no round time at all whatsoever.

My proposal/suggestion is that because the nature of this ability and it's description when learning it can be a bit obscure is that it the ability be applied to SNEAK as well.

So instead of:
>sneak s
>
You sneak to the south.
Roundtime: 3 sec.

It would be like:
>sneak s
>
You go south.

This would be very helpful, especially to Wizard users who may be a bit confused, and think that it was just reduced roundtime (like I did).

If/When that gets tweaked, can it be set up so there's some skill check to spot people sneaking about in this manner?

Yaru can spot my little agent sneak about all the live long day, but when using the free movement thingy while in hiding version, he can't spot her.

That's been on my List of Things to Do When I've Got A Little Spare Time to Pick Code Apart for a while now. In conjunction with that, I've also wanted to add a tailing system, for following persons moving about in hiding.

Oh yeah that sounds awesome. Anything to give Seth a little extra edge as a locksmith with a spymaster/street thief alter ego.

So, with tailing, would the person have an rt to follow? I thought that's what tracking was for. I see the agents ability to move in hiding without rt as they can blend into crowds easily and slip between people fast without really being noticed, so if someone could follow and weave through crowds like that, so the person following would have to have similar (streetwise?) to be able to follow without some rt being involved I would think. I'd like to hear more about the ability before I decide whether I like it or not.

Tailing would basically pan out the same as stalking someone, except that both parties are hidden. Tracking still retains its functionality, since you'd be able to scout and then track down someone that either left before you entered the room, or whom you didn't notice sneaking away.

if you're going to be poking around with stalking, would it ever be possible for stalking to not auto-fail if someone leaves the room but instead have you catch up to the target?
