A little help?

If there's anyone out there who's willing to help out someone fairly new to the agent path, I've got a few questions...


1. After having progressed a bit, I was told to seek out an old man... but, try as I might, I can't seem to find out anymore information about who I should be looking for. I'm not necessarily looking for a direct answer, even an idea of how I could scout out such a person would be greatly appreciated.

2. Is there an agent-only comm channel? And if so, at what level should I be granted access to it? I had thought I'd read elsewhere on the boards that those kinds of channels were granted at level 5, but Eri doesn't seem to know anything about comms or channels when I ask him.

3. Now that I'm able to hunt creatures who drop boxes, I've been trying to figure out how to avoid getting crushed debris and poison injections... but when I type 'disarm <whatever>', I never seem to find anything that looks like a trap. Is there some other way to disarm boxes that I'm unaware of, or am I simply not yet skilled enough do to so? If it is a matter of skill, does anyone have an idea of at what level I might expect to be able to suceed in my disarming attempts?

4. I'm curious as to what kinds of perks or abilities I can look forward to as an agent.. I've gleaned a little bit of information from the forums, game news, and a player website or two... but a lot of it seems rather shrouded in mystery (and perhaps rightly so).


If anyone is willing to answer these questions for me, I'd very much appreciate any info you can give. I know some of the things I'm asking might be considered hush-hush, so if you'd rather PM me here or contact me ingame, that would be appreciated too. Thanks in advance,

1. Check with various NPC's. Particularly one who is agent-like.

2. There is one, but that comes after you do #1.

3. You have to search a box before you disarm it.

4. Poisons are an obvious ability. A lot of are attacks. And a few are stealth-related.

1. I did try asking around some, particularly anyone who seemed, to quote you, 'agent-like' but have so far had no luck.. I shall keep at it though, if that's the way to find out what I need to know!

2. Yeah, I was kinda thinking that might have been what I needed to do - thanks for confirming!

3. I never would have figured that out. I was looking at the boxes, appraising them... never thought to search.

4. Looking forward to being able to play around with poisons!

2. When you manage to find the real leader, they'll let you.

3. When I first started, there weren't traps at all. Might wanna take a moment and scan the past IG new articles for tidbits.
