I've been trying out some polearms recently and I can't for the life of me figure out how to stay at pole range. If I advance, I advance all the way. If I retreat, I retreat all the way. The only way I've figured out is to advance, hangback pole, then retreat all the way and have the critter advance me. But that takes significantly longer than just... firing a gun and so I'm wondering if I'm missing something or if I'm just doomed to do the advance dance for the times I'm using poles. _________________ "The cruelest thing you can do to a person is make her ashamed of her own complexity."-FFOL

HANGBACK POLE works well, but it does depend on your ability to hangback well against an opponent who will keep trying to engage you at melee in most cases. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
