so not all items say they're throwable, but afaik all weapons actually are throwable. is this a feature or a bug? i'd rather not start considering training thrown weapons if i can't go about throwing daggers in my new character's fancy way if this ever gets fixed (if it's broken?).

It's intended that you can throw anything. Hell you can throw a bow or a gun if you wanted, and we intend that. However, the roundtimes for throwing are poor for some weapons and the damage is based on the melee damage for that weapon, so fired weapons are essentially always very low damage compared to shooting it.

Many small blades, blunts, etc are good for throwing.

so when something appraises as a thrown + bladed/blunt/exotic weapon (like a shuriken or those boomerang-like things in the jaddan sector), is it just better to throw those?

and they all would require thrown skill, right? like a shuriken is a bladed but also a thrown, so it takes bladed to use melee and thrown to use from a distance. but someone can have 0 bladed and still throw a shuriken, but then totally suck at using it melee.
