Is it possible to maybe ask permission to the person your are sending your droid to locate so that there is no confusion of stalking or whatever? Atleast the person being located would give consent to being found. Sort of like when psionics call your dead body to them, the system asks you if you want to be called by that person or not and you can respond yes or no or just ignore it.
Or maybe have like a Tracking Beacon upgrade that techs could install into people's comms so that a droid could find them. The upgrade could come with an on and off switch. We could impliment this with the persmission idea.
Example of someone with a tracking beacon on:
Thorne:
send droid to find Drusilla Fyrestick
You send a request to Drusilla Fyrestick.
Dru:
Thorne Darkheart is requesting persmission to send his droid to you. Do you accept? [Please type YES or NO]
yes
Thorne:
Drusilla Fyrestick has accepted your request. A sexy droid stiffens slightly as it receives a command, turning slightly and departing into the distance.
- or -
Thorne:
send droid to find Drusilla Fyrestick
You send a request to Drusilla Fyrestick.
Dru:
Thorne Darkheart is requesting persmission to send his droid to you. Do you accept? [Please type YES or NO]
no
Thorne:
Your request has been denied.
Example if someone had their tracking beacon turned off:
Thorne:
command droid to find Jade Venra
Jade Venra does not have her tracking beacon turned on. _________________ Lick or Be Licked |

I like the idea of a tracking becon installed into comm's, when someone wants to be found quickly, they can turn it on, and the droid will be able to find them right away.
I know my main use for my droid, is to send her to people that want to use her bonuses, and that never works. I always haveta actually run to where they are, and command my droid to arrive. |

Sounds like a pretty cool idea to me. There are times when I don't want to be found and there are times when I'd rather a droid find me quickly. _________________

Sorry, I'm not as familiar with droid capabilities as others are, since I never work with their code really and don't play a Technician. Can droids already go to players and you're asking for limitations via this equipment, or can droids not go to people and you're asking for a means to allow it? _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Sounds like a cool idea, but I think a lot of the new suggestions could be better implemented in Live, since the entire droid code is one huge mess and needs a complete overhaul. _________________ Something wicked this way comes... |
