Mail Notification chip busted?

I know I had a mail notification chip put in Tao's comm long long time ago and I could tell when there was mail because a light on the comm would blink. Now, whenever someone sends Tao mail, there is no notification. For some reason, when I looked inside the comm, I didnt even see the chip installed, so I had Thorne upgrade the comm with the mail notification chip, twice, and still I couldnt see the chip installed and it still didnt go off when a friend mailed Tao some potions.

Not sure if this is because Tao's comm is an old model or if this problem is happening to everyone.

I think its cause my comm is old. I've asked a few people to check their comms and the chip is in theirs.

I just built my comm and I thought I had installed the mail chip in it, but when I looked at it later it said I hadn't. At that time I thought, "Oh, I must not have installed it after all." But now I wonder if maybe I did install it...
