It's really rather stupid, but I guess it's effective on unmaintained forums. But what good active forums are unmaintained? All I had to do was delete the user and all their profile info was lost instantly. I also banned the IP and cross-checked HR to ensure they don't have a game account (which would have banned if so, of course).

I'd agree to that. Sadly, it may be time to switch over to requiring a MB login to be linked to a game login. And all the pain and suffering that entails.

why not just require someone to enter a word when registering?
