Guess what *I* did on my 6 month vacation from Hael?
I've ascended. I have a 20th level Mo/W. She rocks. I don't really use the W too much although it helped immensely in the mirror match.
I've gotten MANY compliments on my healing abilities. I tried it out in PVP though and I sucked majorly.
I have my own guild. I think I'm the only member.
I haven't done anything past ascending. I don't know why.

I think it's $50, but you don't pay anything past that unless they release an expansion pack or something. So, essentially, it's a free World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy or <insert other MMORPG>.
Anyway.
Ascension was way too easy. Run around, do a couple of quests, then do the mirror match. Maybe the mirror match is just way easier to elementalists. I just loaded up on AoE spells and one or two direct damage spells (a la necromancer secondary). The mirror just used the elementalist spells and didn't bother touching the necromancer stuff. This has worked on two of my characters so far; I haven't bothered doing the mirror match on the third, while the fourth is a Warrior/Ranger.

Hmm. I wonder if I'd be able to play it from my house. I'll have to see if the place I buy it from has a return policy before I buy it. Cause I don't wanna toss the cash at it if it's not gonna work from my computer, which is highly likely.

Money isn't a problem. But there's not much benefit to creating a guild at the moment except for PvP.

I haven't tried the Ritualist profession yet in the playtest/PVP thing for the upcoming expansion, but I had a lot of fun playing the pre-made Assassin/Warrior build.
