so i figure performers need more high-level things to be impressive with.
i figure it would be cool if performers could CHARM humaniod-type NPCs to be their friends, protect them, and so on. it can be a more powerful version of provoke, except this time it focuses more on being able to boss them around for more complicated things. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

I've got two Performer abilities already in planning. Actually, I just need to code them... but I've got a lot of other stuff on top of my list. And both are high level (at least 50 or 60th level for the lower one).
Charm is a good idea, but it would actually overlap my intent for eventually expanding what a Tracker can do after they calm a critter. </foreshadow>
Edit: Er, three. But the third's not all that high-level. _________________ Mickey Brunner

that's why i was thinking of it.
i figure psionics would own all the dead, mages have magical beasts/elmentals (possibly, who knows), trackers have animals, and performers have people.
but that's just me and i don't know if having domains over different things still count as crossing over and so on.
and it rocks that performer things are in the works. i'll have more a reason to raise acosae's brother, then. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

It's funny you mention that, because I was just thinking a couple nights ago about wanting to get into that. To be honest, I'm hip-deep in some stuff with Valla right now, plus a mess of my own to-do list things... but it's on there. I'd seriously like to get it done and released. _________________ Mickey Brunner

I say it be called SEDUCE. That sounds more appropriate to the task.
I have to second what Nheku said. I think I may have said this before, but it calls for a repeating: I LOVE having Mickey as a guru. I suppose I can share you with artisans for a little bit.
Working together, Haidee can rule the world with an iron breast! _________________ >l in corset

heh, seduce is cool sounding, but it kinda places a whole sexual spin on charming and not every peformer wants to be that sexual. charm is less sexual and gives the same result, i think.
of course, it would be amusing to have different ways to charm, like 'crats have different ways to win a case. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Charm Slow --> Seduce
Charm Normal --> Charm
Charm Fast --> Rape
Is that what you mean (with a bit of a skinning twist)?

Now if I could only get you to stop camping outside my dressing room door when you're opening for me and the Hael-ettes. You're scaring my wife! _________________ Mickey Brunner
