it would be cool if some 'crat type GMNPC was at the festival (or show up whenever) that was capable of filling out whatever forms would be involved with the Llanfair government recognizing a special pre/post title someone would want.
now, the title would have to have some kind of background behind it. Yaru can't go apply for a "Robot King" title, but he could probably ask for something like "Academy Graduate" or even "Local Youth" or whatever based on how he's been displaying himself.
i'm assuming something like this could be possible due to the special section we have for titles now, and i think it would be a great roleplay tool (that, and i know one of the things that drove me crazy when first having people meet yaru is that they can't always tell the obvious things, like that he's a kid, or a student, or anything else that should be a common assumption).

While titles are OOC, I like your explination for having them done. Another good way around it would be like a nametag deal. Eitherway I like it.

titles are debatable over if they are OOC or not, as much as how debatable it is that you know everyone's name before being introduced.
i see titles more as the general way people are known for seeing you, ie "That's Kit the Engineer" or "That's Yaru the Tailor" or "That's Morgana the Alchemist" and so on. It's more another point of note that the general populace recognizes you having.
