In the spirit of making professions or skillsets working together...how about making crystal jewelry. It'll STILL turn to dust if used too much, yes, but setting crystals into jewelry could make em wearable...and therefore much more useful. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

that would rock as a mage/artisan combination item.
i say artisan because i'm sure the crystals are a lot harder to work with than normal gems and such, so clearly only the uber-awesom artisans are compotent enough to do it. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

I don't think one stone's any harder than another. I wouldn't make it artisan only. Trackers and anyone else should also be allowed to do jewelry. Or maybe just trackers because they're more intune to the enviroment and the possibly the magic in the stones. ^.^; And artisans have loads of cool crafting stuff, so share the love. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

yes but i'm sure a magic infused stone is a lot more delicate than any other stone.
and artisans are the only ones who will be getting jewelry crafting skill innately from promotions under the new skill system.
and you sure better believe it that i want artisans to have a strong grip on craft systems. everyone can take part with normal jewelry crafting, but i want artisans to have the best of the best, or at least be needed to get it. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!
