when a paid account expires, can it just automatically go to a free account?
it's just a few clicks to set it up as free before remaking it as paid, but just that i have to wait for a GM to allow it to be renewed (not like the wait time is ever that long) sounds like needless busywork for both player and GM.
i really doubt people with paid accounts just decide to not play anymore after it expires, anyway.
edit: and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us some kind of message thing like "hey, you have X more days left on your account" or something. i want to pay, honest! just give me a bit more time to do so other than "guess what your account is expired" _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

The game didn't crash, ISP dropped, but yeah.
Yaru, I'm sorry. I've been promising that notice thing forever. I'll get it in. And I'll check as to the expired account thing. Normally automatically making accounts free would be a bad thing but for expired standard it's probably okay. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

In the meantime, go to the account page once and write your expiration date on a piece of paper and tap it to your monitor or tower. Then you'll have a constant reminder. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

except there isn't a date where it expires. it's based on X hours left, and sometimes those hours change if trevor feels the server was down too long, he wants to just give everyone a week, etc etc etc.
that, and i don't have an actual space where i keep things when it comes to my laptop. i sorta just sit somewhere and use it. and since it's normally in transit sticky notes don't last long.
it would just help a ton if, upon login, i get something like "you have X days left" come the final week or whatever of a subscription. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Well...mine tells me when it expires:
Expires: Friday, October 14th, 2005 at 7:42 AM EST
Scotch tape a small piece of paper to the top of the laptop. Peels right off. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

since trevor already said he'll make it eventually, i see no point to argue on why it shouldn't be made.
it's just a good courtesy thing to have, and it makes sense for trevor to put in because it's always good for the seller to remind the buyer to purchase more stuff. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!
