I've been studying the skill system recently, and trying to figure out what skills other than listed profession skills my characters will want to dabble in, and I found myself wondering --
Agents have Marksmanship as a core skill and Parry as a triple-trainable skill. So, will it be up to us what weapons to apply those to? If I want to use Pulse Weapons, will Marksmanship better my aim in that, and would it also work to help out my Archery, if I wanted to train that? And, lastly... are there any "suggested" weapon types for Agents? I've been visualising mine as the gun-and-dagger type, or will it be better for me to be a crossbow-and-monofilament-whip kind of girl?
Secondly, I'm sort of fuzzy on the security skill -- is that what our ability to disarm and pick locks will be based off of? I'm used to DR's invididual-skill-repetition for skill training, so bear with me.
(Also, my impulse is "Don't ask that! They can't tell you! At best you'll get a PAFO and feel like an idiot!" but since these forums have been so wonderfully informative so far, I figured I'd give it a shot.)

Marksmanship purely applies to all things related to conventional non-pulse firearms. Normal guns, shotguns, etc. It doesn't affect Archery, Pulse, Thrown, etc. since it's an actual weapon skill.
Agents who want to make use of poisons (when they are released) will want to use archery or blades of some sort for full effectiveness.
Security is an all-in-one skill which covers traps, locks, etc, yep.
And feel free to ask. We can't answer everything, but the questions you've asked so far seem basic game stuff to me. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
