TECH:
Technological Enlightenment Coalition of Haelrahv

Level 01: Apprenticeship
All Apprentices must have an avid interest in the progression of technology and a working knowledge of some of the basic forms of current technological breakthrough. This can include medical equiptment, cybergear, pulse and marksmanship weaponry, holographic material, robotics, gadgetry, electronic repair, computers, etc.

Those employeed by Shavcire Wei for at least five promotions at the Cyber Clinic may skip this level and enter Journeyman status subject to approval by the Masters. It is our belief that a technician that has hung in that long with the profession has proven their interest to bypass an Apprenticeship. They are, however, still assigned to work closely with a Journeyman until they can stand on their own two feet. All others applicants must submit a written resume containing schooling information and area of interest (as mentioned above) and pass an interview by the Masters and Grandmaster before being admitted as a full fledged Apprentice.

Apprentices may vote on general topics and are expected to attend at least one meeting a month. If at such a time as dues are required, they will be subjected to Apprenticeship dues. Apprentices are also assigned to specific Journeymen for sponsorship, teaching, and to help the Journeymen in their own technological persuits.

Level 02: Journeymen
Those statused as Journeymen occupy a seat on the council and may cast votes on laws and, therefore, have a greater say in the goings on in TECH. The first group of Journeymen will originally be appointed by the Masters but then after will be able to nominate and vote on Apprentices to attain Journeymen status. If the Apprentice is not voted in by majority, they may reapply thirty days after their last attempt to join the council. The Masters and Grandmaster hold the right to limit seats in the council and to promote deserving Apprentices directly into this level without a vote.

While there is no ranking in this level as of yet, there are plans to create chairs in the council to head up committees for general interest in weaponry, gadgetry, robotics, medical gear, and cybernetics. All Journeymen may join as many committees as they desire, granted they have enough time to be active in each commitee, but a Journeyman may only hold one chair position at a time. Chairs may either be appointed or popularly elected when they are decided to be implemented.

The Journeymen council has the right to veto a decision from the Masters and has the ability to choose new Masters if seats become vacant.

A Journeyman is assigned one or more Apprentice in his or her given field. The purpose of this is to teach and cultivate Apprentices for eventual rise to Journeyman status. Journeymen are required to attend the majority of meetings held each month (half or better) and their dues may be slightly higher then the Apprentices when and if dues are implemented.

Level 03: Masters
There are only two chairs at this level of TECH, and both are concidered equal. Master class members are chosen by vote through the Journeymen council, though the two original positions will be appointed by the Grandmaster. Masters are able to pass new laws to be voted upon, may call meetings, run workshops, and will be directly in charge of one half of the Journeymen Council. One Master will be given the title of Financer and the other will be responsible for Communication.

The Finance Master controls all dues and donations of TECH. They are in charge of providing refreshments for meetings and may deligate some of these duties to Journeymen under them. If at a time when Committees are implemented, they will be in charge of Weaponry, Medical Gear, and Robotics.

The Communication Master is responsible for keeping minutes at meetings and distributing them to all the members of TECH. They also are to keep meetings running on schedule and handle other communications between levels and members directly or through deligation to Journeymen beneath them. If at a time when Committees are implemented they will be in charge of Gadgetry and Cybernetics.

Masters will not have a set dues rate, but will be expected to give time, energy, and help with finances when required.

Level 04: Grandmaster
The Grandmaster has ultimate say in TECH. He or she is the head of the Order, but can be vetoed by a majority of votes from the Journeymen or by the two masters. Grandmasters are to be supremely knowledgeable in all forms of technology and take direct lead in all aspects of TECH. Any changes to the charter or the bylaws must first be agreed upon by the Grandmaster. If the Grandmaster decides to go on hiatus from TECH for whatever reason, but will be returning, the most experienced Master will temporarily take the Grandmaster's place and act as both Master and Grandmaster or may have the Journeymen select a temporary replacement Master to fill the empty seat. If the Grandmaster officially steps down, the full assembly (Apprentices and Journeymen) are required to vote one of the two Masters to the position of Grandmaster and the remaining Master class seat is then filled by the Journeymen council in the usual fashion.

Grandmasters are not expected to pay dues, but to donate as much financially as possible to the clean and smooth order of TECH. They also plan each meeting and hold order during discussions and workshops. They are expected to attend every meeting.

****************************************

As of this time, I am currently Grandmaster of TECH. Riy Weico holds one of the Masters positions. If you are interested in joining TECH, please speak to Kit or Riy.
