Im sure this was mentioned but I honestly cant remember.
Will the exp penalty be into place when we go live?
I was also discussing other methods of controlling those who just come in long enough to fill thier mind and leave long enough for it to empty. Thought maybe once you go idle you could start pulsing at half your normal rate.

We're just not sure yet. One of the things I have considered doing is a rip off from another game.... it's not any different than the experience penalty when it comes down to it, but it "feels" better. Instead of a penalty, characters may have a bonus that grants them extra experience, but when the bonus is used up, you revert to normal experience gain. I'm all for a more positive look on the gain issue. And I also agree with having a way to slow people down. 'Wall ranks' or what have you really do help the massive gaps between hardcore and casual players. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage
