before anythingthanks for the update to sidearms and rifles. rifles seem more viable of a weapon to use again.
the update said rifles would take longer to load than sidearms. they do take longer to load than sidearms do (i get 8 on an officer's sidearm, 11 on the tg23-x), but i think i used to get like 14 seconds on the tg23-x. i wasn't sure if it was intended to lower the time more than what it was before (not like i'm complaining...).
i'm not sure if the aiming penalty is a bit too wacky. i missed some snap shots when the target (royal guard, again) was lying down and stunned. should i still miss something that lower than me if it is in such a crappy position?
anyway, thanks for the updates. i think rifles are an option to consider once again, and now there's situations i can see where a rifle is better than a sidearm (and i bet a shotgun melee will be hot, too). _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

I was under the impression that with the latest changes to being stunned there was no chance to defend whatsoever when stunned. _________________ It is better to be pissed off than pissed on. |

Nothing should successfully defend when stunned (but prone is possible). If you could, please keep an eye out and experiment more and let me know if you definitely see cases of stunned NPC's or players defending. But do please double check so I'm not on a wild goose chase trying to find a cause.
As for the load times on the TG23-X, it's intended. I rebalanced all the figures for all the weapons. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

by defend, do you mean something blocks or parries, or if something dodges?
i'm not sure if i'm capable of just outright missing, as opposed to something dodging. you know? _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Running more on luck than skill, you leap through the air and extend a hard kick toward a nowbi fighter. Somehow, you land a critical hit to her left arm as a nowbi fighter fails to dodge the attack.
A nowbi fighter is completely dazed by the attack!
[You are incredibly balanced, healthy, well rested, and your inner focus is strong.]
Roundtime: 1 sec.

Moving in quickly, you leap through the air and extend a hard kick toward a nowbi fighter. Despite your best efforts, she dodges the attack with relative ease.
[You are incredibly balanced, healthy, well rested, and your inner focus is strong.]

Besides, in this test instance of the game, all you should really be worrying about is experience. Its the only thing you'll be allowed to keep some of. |
Currently, the highest thing I can manage and can get to (stupid climbing) doesn't give experience. This isn't about the cash now so much as it's about the cash in live...so I think it's a viable concern.
Edit:
With the splattergun, if I aim at a specific point, my shots are wild and all over the place. But if I just aim, the shots hit one body part 2-5 times.
Edit again:
The splattergun still takes 4-6 hits to kill trappers. The handguns take 1-3. Kit's level 68. Coordination 94. Mentality 84. Pulse 247. When can I expect to actually being able to hit what I aim at? _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

By I defend I mean any case where it's stunned and you don't land every attack you make while it's stunned. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I saw one potential cause of stunned opponents defending, though it wasn't clear if that was in fact happening there. I put in some extra reinforcement, please let me know if you continue to experience this problem. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

just out of curiosity, is it possible for me to ever just miss, as opposed to the target dodging? _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

In terms of mechanics, yes. In terms of messaging, no. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I'm curious as to how he is able to play his song while stunned. If it's normal to perform actions while stunned, I'd like to see spells being able to be prepared and casted during a stun and weapons being able to be aimed and fired during a stun. _________________ You lick a chocolate lollipop.

It's possible for them to defend while prone, yes. They do suffer a penalty to do so, however. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
