That's odd by the way, because I'm all but certain backstab used to apply poison and I'm not really sure how/why that piece of code would be missing, but it's fixed now.

just went to test how well an officer's sidearm works compared to my tg23x rifle.

vs royal guards:
remarkable officer's sidearm with soft-tip RTZ4 rounds: 2 shots (2 bullets) needed
remarkable tg23-x rifle with soft-tip RTZ4 rounds: 4-6 shots (8-12 bullets) needed

i know that automatic weapons shouldn't land hit after hit since there is some recoil and such, but geez it makes me slightly sad that a store bought weapon is notably better than something that was not only festival, but also expensive and using bigger bullets.

the tg23-x would sometimes miss, and the shots that landed would range from strong-serious and not always hitting the head. meanwhile, the officer-s sidearm would always land, always be awe-inspiring, and always hit the head.

here's hoping this doesn't mean one handed guns don't need downtweaking, but there's the data for you. Wink

My THBP chances seem to be pretty low. With 102 coord and 51 perc, I hit what I am for about 1/10th of the time. Is that normal for my stats?

(146) coord and (163) perception and my results aren't much better (testing on asapis and eoshaeis). I only ever seem to hit the right body part on a kill.

Is this on stuff around your level, or have you tried stuff below it and found the results to be the same?

I just made some edits, but I'd still like to know about that level issue.

1) Around how much athletics should one expect to have before Fly Kick might be tried?

2) My hit rate is pretty low as well. If I aim for the head, I seem to hit all around it with probably less than 1/10 actually hitting the head, though my stats are not as high as those above.

3) BTW, now at level 27, with increased mentality and unarmed (bonused as well). and still can't lay a hand on those molted grags (level 30). I found the koru hunters (level 27) and they are fine for me, though will ruin my alignment. Still feel when I am unburdened, have attune eyesight, balance, meditate stone, and meditate light, that I should be able to land an occasional punch on a molted grag.

I did a quick test in Kuchos (well below my level). Every attack was jk kucho head. Maybe the small sample size throws off the results, but 5.4% success seems kinda low to me.

You don't need Athletics at all to use flying kick. However, it will be much more effective if you do train Athletics. The more, the better.

I'm going to look over some various numbers with hit/miss numbers, however, I don't expect major changes to occur re: level differences. It's intended to be harder to hit stuff above your level, but as I've said before, it's not intended to be per se impossible. Although I'm not sure what you consider "occasional".
