If it makes the Zamde-roasting lot of you feel better, I've seen enough to decide that I'm better off switching to the Ripple of Force since it's faster, still hits everybody, and also does damage IN the room. Everybody happy now?

Oh hey, don't mind me Zamde. I had no roasting in mind, sorry it came out that way. I'm most likely the only person in all of HR that has a problem with being forced to my knees in the middle of healing someone [now at other times, maybe a different story] and we all know I'm just a whiner [or something] anyway. I do apologize that my ability to communicate is non-existant today.. my original intention was literally to clarify the cause/effect factor. What I have to say on any of this isn't worth the paper I just wrote it on anyway. Wink

Hey if your in the sparring grounds or anywhere for that matter and are healing somone that is currently involved in battle you can damn well expect to get alot more than a spell song cast on you. Now if the fight is over and your healing anyone that casts on you is a jackass. But I really dont see that happening very often if at all.

Sorry, I don't go out there to get into the middle of a spar. I go out to heal the combatants on request after the match is over. It's rather stupid to try and heal someone in the middle of a fight anyway.

Then whats there to worry about. As far as taking them to the spectator room if they got knocked out they are not bleeding so all you have to do at the most is cast sacrafice on them take them a room away and heal them. Fighting may commence. And thats being EXTRA careful. All you really have to do is if they are not bleeding you show up in the spectator room, say Im here because they can hear you over there and then wait for them to come over and cast sac. on them and start healing, you dont have to go into the actual sparring grounds for any means at all.

Just imagine how people will feel when area effect elemental spells are released ...

I agree with Yaru. We need class balance. If spellsongs can affect a whole room, our guns should be able to also! Yeah!

Thank you for responding to my post Mickey.

Quote:
Drums of Fear - 15 seconds of audible** performance roundtime before effect. Targets knocked prone, given roundtime, possibly stunned

Gust of Wind - 1 second of silent invoke roundtime/2 seconds prep, ZERO focus roundtime - target damaged, knocked prone, given roundtime, possibly stunned

Ripple of Force - 2 seconds of silent invoke roundtime/3 seconds prep, ZERO focus roundtime - targets damaged, knocked prone, given roundtime, possibly stunned

So Drums of Fear doesn't ALWAYS cause those effects? Meaning, there's a chance that it can cause only one or two of the effects without the others? Or is it no resist\resist - all effects\no effects?

Also, the other two abilities vary in their resistance checks, mental resistance is a bit on the off side, as it's always been.

level 21 performer, 98 (100) charisma, 5 mental, 75 intelligence, 63 (75) rhythm

level 77 artisan, 85 charisma, 110 (112) mental, 75 intel

Code:
You begin to play the Drums of Fear upon your rainmaker staff.
Roundtime: 14 sec.
A cold chill permeates the air around you.
Yaru Dex looks terrified!
Yaru Dex is stunned!
Yaru Dex falls to his knees and begs for mercy.

i'm not saying this to stir shit, honest, just asking if things like drums of fear will be brought in-line with the new combat changes as well (ie: a level 20 shouldn't hurt someone that badly who is nearing 80).

How long was the stun? I'm just curious; I've yet to wander into a DoF you see.

2-4 seconds of stun isn't that much of a stun. Especially considering you had 15 seconds beforehand to attack while your opponent was in RT.
