We didn't have a separate orchestra, we had marching band in the fall and spring and concert band was during the winter, the difference being that the color guard had to PLAY an instrument... no offense, but a bunch of them only played so they could be part of the guard, so they weren't really musically inclined.
They were pretty much a trip, though. One thing I will never forget (and yes, I am SO dating myself here) was when Purple Rain came out and the color guard would play "Darling Nikki" over and over and over on the bus to the games....

..While we're on the subject of Colour Guard, and we all know how it's basically dancing and the like, how's that neat Dance system coming along? I can't remember if that was said to be on the At-Alpha-Launch list or the Slightly-After-Alpha list or the Don't-Get-Your-Hopes-Up list.

Dancing stuff is unlikely to make initial alpha, but we'll try to work it in as fast as we can.
The dancing spellsongs work, but that's another issue entirely. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Neat; don't stress out over it, though. I'm sure the ACT verb will suffice for awhile. I'm just going to have to get real hip to the dance lingo.

And in the process of acting out your dances, you'll invent some that could become native to Haelrahv, and possibly worked into the system later on. |

Tamello Yoshir glances up at you briefly before launching into a rapid six-step which leads into a coffee-grinder.
Tamello Yoshir seems to be spinning at an outstanding speed as he places his head down and proceeds to spin on his head.
Tamello Yoshir slows down gradually and jumps back on to his feet.
Tamello Yoshir bows.
Tamello Yoshir faints.

Hmm Any chance we'll be singing on-key anytime soon? *chortle* or is it based on the singin ability and how high trained it is? *grin* _________________ Nivza da fuzzy performer! |

There anyway we can know when we'll sing on-kay?...Or even somewhat on key?... A goal that I can strive for so I dont hurt poor Willie's ears anymore?

And for that you get three Solphan points. They aren't worth anything, but they do explode if you touch them too often. _________________ pro.gram.mer (n) - a device which converts caffeine into code |

It will be quite a while before you sing better than off key (which is not the worst, there's one rank below off key). Singing skill and charisma factor in, and some wounds can affect your singing. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

You get some Draxx points too for being a former member of colorguard. I'd say about 6....one for every year. ::nod::
Colorguard rules.
~Draxx...doing it again for the very last time next fall. |
