Curious to know though, with the new update to stam does that affect critters too? and will some critter vit be adjusted based on this new update? |
I'm going to go through creature HP/SP/FP later and balance them out. Some things are intended to have insane HP/SP tho. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

My only beef with the combat system is lack of suitable things for me to hunt that are evil at my level. Granted, Kit's moving into Nowbi range now. However, there is very little choice about when he can hunt from here on out that will be profitable for him.
60 - Fighters. Good, treasure, melee creatures.
Next up comes the Kashaga, but Kit doesn't skin, so there's no reason to hunt them.
61 - type three drones. It takes 1-2 hours for me to find a badge, since the population has all the flashlights and tech-comms it wants, it's pretty pointless for me to try to even find a badge. I'd fight in the warehouse more if badges were easier to come by... Even so, you can only get parts from drones. Not treasure.
Now there's a gap between 61 and 65.
65 - magic weilding nowbi. Ack. Kit's super susceptible to magic attacks which pretty much puts these things in the 'insta death' catagory. Even so, he might be able to get away with hunting these in the next five levels.
Another gap from 65-70.
70 - We have hounds and vacoris...no treasure. Kit can't skin.
Finally, at 75 we hit the kuchos. What this pretty much means for me if that for the next 15 levels I'll be in nowbi fighters...or rather, in royal guards simply because nowbis are on Echak and I don't have an easy way to get there and back again. With this 'hunting on level' thing, having some more evil and neutral box dropping critters would be a relief. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

Though individual points have their ups and downs, you pretty much had me agreeing with you (though you seem a bit obsessed with the idea you need to change hunting targets every level or two) until I saw this:

No matter how many hunting areas we add, they are (and need to be) spread out. They're not all going to be conveniently located. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

not just evil and nuetral but good, last good aligned thing fightable I believe are guards
Been begging for this for a long time now
I also requested that Nowbi champions possibly spawn in thier own designated area at a higher rate so those of us on level with them dont have to wait through ten things to low for us to hunt for one champion.

Heh, well if what i have to look forward to is:becoming the stuffy nauseating elite;i think i'll hold onto my I HIT THEKKO@23RD card
k thanks <3
With that said, Trevor, while hunting last night Kiley said something
which was painfully true and semi amusing
"Well if i didn't have to shoot something ten times to kill it i wouldn't be tired"
So...is the new system going to take into consideration char level?
Younger/New characters already get worn out easily. _________________ >You allow Stilldawn to undress you. |

If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were trying to impress us by shooting something you've proved anybody can hit when a GM stuns it for you. I mean, wow, man... impressive.
While I'm thinking about it, what kind of treasure did you get after you killed Thekko, anyway? _________________ An eye for an eye; but my eye's worth more.

Being proved right...by people trying to discredit you ingame over a board arguement.
moving onward....
With the new stam system going into play with the critters, that would really level out the field neatly with critters having to rest/defenses being lowered by exhuastion. Thanks for looking into it Trevor,
I look forward to being able to overhunt even more easier then before!

So, okay. You proved anyone can hit Thekko. Congratulations, uber-hunter. _________________ An eye for an eye; but my eye's worth more.

In a display of raw power, a borkin warrior slashes a rusty chain and sickle at you. Mercilessly, she lands a devastating hit to your head as you fail to dodge the attack.
Mortally wounded, you release a final sigh and succumb to the cold embrace of death.
** Vyrath Kartklin isn't dead, he's just resting. Six feet under.
You've died! You'll either have to wait until a Medic comes to help you or type RESTORE to be restored from a copy of your genetic image.
Your last image was taken 18 hours, 22 minutes, and 45 seconds ago.
If you were to roll back to this image, you would lose 3307 experience points and 0 levels.
[You are fairly well balanced, dead, completely exhausted, your inner focus is nearly fully spent, bleeding, and prone.]

A borkin warrior snorts loudly in the air.

I hate to burst your bubble, but the game's only been up for two years.
Also, I keep making reference to this but I haven't officially asked in a while..did I miss the announcement where tactics really is for multiple opponents now, or does it still mainly just do critical hits? |

three, two..i never was good with time...but i do remember
1:the ooc cafe being the only place you could explore
2:guards being the biggest creatures (killable at 17th)
3:mellie's 20th promotion party in the treehouse
EDIT:didn't see an announcement but i'd assume
that a worker and a warrior being able to take me down
means that yeah it's inplay. Time to go train it up from 0 _________________ >You allow Stilldawn to undress you. |
