While not a suggestion regarding gadgets directly...
How about a RUMMAGE FOR GADGETS command? We already have a command to rummage for alchemy components, why not for gadget components?

Well, I don't see why not, so it'll probably get added at some point. _________________ Something wicked this way comes... |

How about making handheld video games? Playing them to help with you hand-eye coordination...which could help crafting and lockpicking and things like that. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

No. It's a known fact that playing things like first person shooters actually increase a person's hand-eye coordination. Playing a whittling video game probably wouldn't make you all that good at whittling. But playing an intensive game that requires a great deal of rapid eye movement and finger reflexes can make someone already good at whittling steadier, and therefore, makes the end product better. It's all about training yourself. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

It's a sad, sad day when I log into a text game to play a video game. |

DR had these puzzle game things...and we have those block game things. The video game I'm thinking of is just a text sentence or two....but you could get some sort of skill from it. Also something new for techs to build. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

personally, i'm waiting for the MUD in a MUD game, sorta like how Day of the Tentacle had a computer in it that you could play Manic Mansion on.

Trivia: I wrote an in-game portal for Eaxia so that the GMs could play Castles. Unfortunately, it reacts weirdly since the advent of the command limits. _________________ Mickey Brunner
