Can we just hold the tool we're repairing with and type "repair <item>" ??

It's not much, but holding a casing kit, or a lens kit...obviously I want to repair my eyes with one of those. I shouldn't have tp type it.

Why can't we just have the tools in the toolkit and use those automatically when repairing something? Like it is with lockpick kits and picks.

I second this, unfortunately rather obvious concept.

I've asked for this before....but the techs that replied (Infierna I remember), said she liked having to do more steps.

Indeed. As I recall, the techs that started the thread (Kit) said she had better things to do than watch the screen while repairing for people. As I said last time, the toolkit functions on its own as if it contains tools we can't see - the lockpicking kit doesn't.

I wouldn't be opposed to changing the function, but..wow, this sounds familiar..I think hitting just "repair" over and over would be monotonous.

My experiences are limited to repairing cyberware. There are different levels or cyberware damage.

The toolkit is used for the lowers level of repair, which is kinda odd since it's a container as well that holds all the other tools. So obviously, it has invisible tools in there that are used when repairing the lowest level of damage.

Yet when you're dealing with higher levels of damage it requires you to take a certain tool out of the toolkit to use first then use the toolkit again.

That's just odd to me.

There are lots of little things in the toolkit....wires to repair, probably solder. And there's disks too for fixing organizers.
