i'm basing that off what the jaddan that sells them is described wearing.
i know they go down to his knees and that his are oddly sleeveless. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Alteri indeed do wear what we would consider clashing colors. I'll get something together about their different fashion styles. _________________ God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.

It would be awesome if every race had a preference....even humans...who still shouldn't be into jeans and a t-shirt. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

This off topic is perfectly legal, cause it really isn't off topic. Its all about fashion. And I think along with the whole what each race wears it also goes a little into what each profession would ware. Just a little thought. Really races clothing would also have to go a little into what they are and what they "need" to wear in the cases of like Agents, Techs, Crats, and Medics and so on. Cause who wants a lawyer whos wearing a bunch of hides? And who would want an Agent working for them who was wearing junk that'd get hung on doors and bright colorful stuff while they was sneaking around. And who would want a Medic who isn't wearing gloves and using clean tools. Anyways back you guys. Maybe I'm just one who wants the world to RP as they really are *shrugs* _________________ S.S. It's a bit of folly to expect a character to wear clothing based on our own 21st century Human viewpoint when that character is set in a far different environment (such as deciding a lawyer shouldn't wear hides)...but then, there is a lot of clothing available in game that is decidedly 21st century in style. _________________ Counselor Faith Tempest

Ya, but still. Look at all the clothing selections. Hide isn't exactly one that stands out all that much no matter what time setting you are in. Nobles dressed in cloth in ancient times and peasants in hides. Now days the only use of hide is in villages or fur for jackets and such. I figure in the "future" hides would be even less in use. Unless your like the Darju and primative. Which in their case ya they'd love to see a lawyer in hides, but everyone thinks they are a bit "uncivilized" so who else would want one? _________________ S.S. Pottery is property of Scotty Smith |

Well, you have to realize that this is the future on a completely different planet. The human concept of clothing came through after all these other races had already come up with their own perceptions of what works and what doesn't.
Llanfair is pretty much a human colony with different quarters that cater to the different races a little more. I would suspect that, for example, a courthouse in a mainly Darjuan colony would be full of lawyers in hides and tanned goods. A courthouse in an Alteri colony would be full of vinyl raincoats and clashing colours.
Each race has a different idea of beauty.

You just basically agreed with what I said earlier. Others proberly wouldn't want them as a lawyer period actually but still. To the other races, it'd look unprofessional though, or atleast the humans who are strangly the majority _________________ S.S. Pottery is property of Scotty Smith |

A few names are iffy because either a GM wanted to make up a name (like I did with the city of Wargale, a name which I came up with like 14 years ago... <g>) or a GM just didn't use our word generator for one of a number of reasons. We actually have a tool for generating words of X race and we use it a lot so you see a lot of consistency in our languages. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
