Nothing at all official, but just an idea kicked around between Rich and myself. Ilafaelsh is the darker side of Eolai, a religion historically worshipping the dark gods and such. The founders of the Ilafaelsh religion, however, were a slightly twisted version of their Eolai brothers (once being Eolai themselves) and vanished from the surface of Haelrahv. Think of elves vs. dark elves/drow. It's possible that this race could emerge again one day...just a thought. I'm sure they'd love the Darju.

Neat. We need conflict, especially within the "perfect" race. It's really kind of funny to think of how twisted they'd be, though. Are we talking.. no spots under the eyes? Or did they end up having completely distorted features (the elephant man comes to mind), which would really put them in direct conflict with their Eolai relatives.

I don't know if this is what Kal had planned for the dark Eolai, but the Drow in DND have dark skin (as opposed to the extremely fair-skinned elves).

So far, they're really only mentioned briefly in the Eolai history I've written, and nothing physically is mentioned. They are a branch of Eolai that turned their backs on the Eofaelsh beliefs (the good religion) and split off from Esia. At the time, they looked like regular Eolai, but were they to make a return it would be after thousands of years of seclusion, probably underground worshipping some bad mojo. I think they would look more sickly in general, ie no extra arms or anything crazy. Slight differences. Slightly pointed teeth, circles under the eyes, jagged features, different skin tones (I would say more pale, except the Eolai already are pale) etc. As far as statistics, they might excel at magical arts more than their Eolai brethren.
/disclaimer Again, none of this is remotely official! /end disclaimer

Sidenote: The Ilafaelsh were the first race that the (generally) peaceful Jaddan came across. The result was an unprovoked masacre on a Jadda tribe. By the time the regular Eolai showed up, the Jaddan were attacking them, thinking they were the enemy while the Eolai thought they were being attacked without provocation and...well, yeah, things started to get messy. |

Breeee. Question about Ilafaelsh. Would an Eolai (and perhaps any other races) recognize an Ilafaelsh should he/she emerge from underground? Maybe they would just think the person is just a very odd Eolai until perhaps they do something Ilafaelsh related...? |

Is there any more information available on Ilafaelsh? Or are there any books that I could find that mention them? Thanks if you can help. _________________ >ask librarian about books

There is some very brief info in the timeline which you can find in the Soleil Library or Muja's. _________________ God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.

Can anyone tell me if the texts in the library and Muja's are the same? Don't wanna have to run both places if I don't have to. And also, could somebody post these texts on the boards? Copying/reading is a pain with telnet. _________________ >ask librarian about books

I THINK Morrigan placed most of the information in the Library, but I'm not 100% certain. _________________ If there is one thing in the world that I know, love conquers all, it trancends time and space, defies all odds, and can bring you back from the darkness, it is the guiding light that helps bring you in from the rough stormy seas of life, and it remains even after you have gone.

Also, where exactly are the BOOKS in the Soleil Library? All I can find are the spells and stuff. _________________ >ask librarian about books

The library is actually a seperate building. But its very close to the sanctuary. _________________ If there is one thing in the world that I know, love conquers all, it trancends time and space, defies all odds, and can bring you back from the darkness, it is the guiding light that helps bring you in from the rough stormy seas of life, and it remains even after you have gone.

Yup, the library and Muja's have both the same texts. Just at Muja's you can also purchase copies. _________________ God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.
