Since medics healing\reviving PC's will be affecting alignment, I'm suggesting that brokering have the same effect. It's the same basic thing, brokers have the choice to broker for someone or not, as medics have the choice to heal\revive or not.

Isn't the Broker mantra: "Black, White, Jaddan, Darju, Good, Evil... everyone's cash is green."

I wrote a long message then erased it and wrote another long message and erased it. Alignment is an interesting subject and I'm off to search for old messages before I post a long note.

alignment is, to me, is more 'seen socially as good/bad' as opposed to 'morally good/bad'.

so if a broker keeps working for criminals, that broker will then be labeled as a criminal.

then again, if a broker works for everyone, then the broker will most likely just stay neutral.

If a broker works for criminals, doesn't that make him a Fence or Launderer?

Basically it's the same as a medic healing\reviving someone. You(the broker) are providing a service and effectively helping them out.

To be a fence you'd have to be selling illegal goods, not selling legal goods for an evil person. However, this could be extended to illegal activity if providing commerce for said person was illegal due to them being sanctioned or a criminal.

Neither has to do with alignment and the terms fence and so on are not related to alignment in a direct sense. Is it immoral to help an evil person profit more from their sales? I suppose to some it would be. Some not. Now if this person was trying to black market stolen babies or something, that's a bit more obvious as an "evil" act.

Is that a hint for an upcoming system?
