Is it possible to add an extra choice in the character creation process for the preference of right hand over left hand, or vice versa? It would simply make one hand dominant over the other, and as it is that is the right hand. But if someone chose the left hand, then when they picked stuff up, accepted items, gave items, attacked...all of these things would use/utilize/be based out of the left hand.

What do you think?

I've been wanting to suggest this for awhile. William has always been a lefty but a lot of systems require things to be in the right hand. I didn't know if it would be difficult to code or not, though.

It's something we can probably accomodate in Live and I can recall this being suggested for pretty much all the Simu games (well okay except CyberStrike). It doesn't offer anything other than fun factor but hey, it's uh.. fun?

Wouldn't be easily doable in the current game - or rather it would but any systems that specifically search for a tool in the right hand would have to be updated to look for a dominant hand setting.

Since we're on the subject of the character manager, make sure to add a confirmation at the end to make sure we're happy with all of our selections. I couldn't tell you how many times I've rolled up characters only to press 5 instead of 4. Or some variation thereof.

I've definitely had that happen when choosing weapons. They shrink and you've had it all planned and suddenly number 4 isn't what you thought it was anymore.

The Live CM is going to be different in that you'll be able to physically move backward to previous rooms and re-do choices, as well as use a command in the room you're in to initiate a decision.

Aside from the ease of re-choosing features, this will give players not as familiar with MUDs a little tutorial on basic movement commands.

Me too, just never got around to it.

The way I figured it would be done, is as a setting. So you could be a lefty one day or a righty the next and so on.
