I especially like how his initial response was, "LOL OH SHIT". Did he put that in huge white font on a red background?

No! Whew!
I'm fortunate to work for people that see my playing on the net as 'something to keep her occupied in the downtime and therefore a good thing' ... strange, wonderful people.
But it's still a school darn it! I can't tell you how many times a day I hide my HR screen until certain things scroll past or just log out suddenly. Luckily, during the day it's relatively calm in our little text world.

I definately remember IMing you with "I'm so fucking pissed off about ...dunno something or other" and then pausing and typing: "Oh shit, you're at school!" And then another pause and: "I'll shut up now."

You could, always, you know, not play HR while at work.

You could, always, you know, not play HR while at work. |
And if it ever becomes a problem.. I won't. And obviously it's the IMs that tend to be more troublesome, not the game. However, when you have a boss that also has his AIM on and uses it during the day and he has you on his buddy list ... 
Yeah Kit, I remember that.. you only slipped that once, tho. I've had much worse that I've had to remind people that daytime = workplace. And again if it becomes a major problem, it'll just stop. My job means more than the ability to play or have AIM on.. that's just a bonus.
What's fun is when your supervisor asks you to teach her how to get into chatrooms.. first I gave her the rundown on what to expect so she wouldn't be shocked.. after all, she's in her 70s.

I remember many years ago I showed my boss at work the game "Civilization". Yes, a long time ago. Anyway, he became hooked and played it all day at work.
"Sorry can't talk right now, I'm trying to eradicate the French!"
Odd that the company decided our department wasn't necessary any more a month or so later.

Now if I did that.. I WOULD be in trouble. Long and sudden silences are typical from Nelle during the day while I'm doing my thing.
