why train evasion at all if at 50 ranks more then you had before |
Feel free to reallocate, not train evasion, and let me know if it effects your success rate in combat. I know where my money is on that bet. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I understand what you are saying Warner. You're asking why you get hit more when doing non-combat activities(picking boxes, prepping spells) without burdon than you do when not doing them with a burdon.
I don't know if specific penalties were coded into them, but realistically speaking though, it would make sense. When you're picking a box or prepping a spell you're not paying attention to the creatures around you, you're paying attention to your box or spell. When you're burdoned but paying attention to combat, you might be moving more slowly, but at least you're trying to move.

this was the original point before, someone decided to huck in my low vit,
and call my brains pudding yes i have low vit the question is now wtf does it have to do with my ability to evade
please refer to news 16 before trying to lump the two together. |
Thank you, but I already know what's in NEWS 16 pretty well by now. Your vitality helps you stay alive longer when you DO start taking hits. That has everything to do with combat, even if not directly effecting evasion. It will let you outlast creatures, or, survive long enough to run away crying for a medic. Evasion is no longer foolproof, and since I hope you understand that by now, you should realize that min/maxing and ignoring a combat stat like that does bear more consequences now. Just ask Yaru...::snickers:: No one skill or defence method is the end all be all thing that will keep you safe from any sort of harm, which is how it should be.
You asked for help with combat, I'm offering what little I know from my own experience. There's no need to start getting fussy over it. _________________ Help! Help! I'm being oppressed! |

Not to mention that...
Higher vitality = higher stamina = higher length of time before your attacks start doing shit damage.
And doesn't fatigue affect how well you dodge/parry/block as well?

Well, there you go then.
Warren: your vitality sucks. Ergo, you'll suck at combat (99% of the time).
<thumbs up>

That's not the issue at hand, though. |

Thanks Hunter, i suppose it does make sense.
However it doesn't make it anymore rational that
i can be in the middle of fighting a warrior with stam in the 90's
and not get hit and a worker freshly arriving in the room can nail me
Is tactics finally coming into play with combat? |

Tactics always came into play (better chance of a critical hit). But the randomization of things is intended to keep you from being invincible no matter what you're fighting, and since your vit is low, a low critter does a lot of damage. The warrior probably had as much random chance to "nail" you, it just hadn't happened yet. |
