A few ideas that have been discussed:
Mentoring - Medic can train an NPC Medical Student to assist them in healing. These students would learn as they heal (much like Medics) and get more versitile as they learn. However the students are restricted to medical facilities and possibliy expaned into towns as they get more skilled.
Psionic/Medic Assistance - Using the wonderful powers of the mind, Psionics may be able to assist Medics in healing patients who are far away through a form of teleportation.
Veterinary Medicine - Creating salves for healing rashes/minor wounds on animals, as well as a full array of healing devices and techniques for helping thoes people who insist on having a furry little critter by their side.
------------------------------
Again these are just ideas that are currently bouncing around in this head of mine, and will ferment over the course of the next few months. I dont expect to have any of them live at open, but I would like to impliment them soon Any ideas, as always are greatly welcomed! _________________ "I'm not quiet...I'm plotting" |

Why not have mentoring by NPC Doctor on opening? We are going to need hints on how we use certain items and how to do certain processes within the facility. We use them as a focus for learning.
For example:
ask NPC Docter about <process>
Eventually it would be opened up to older medics to do this sort of mentoring. There could be an event on the retirement of the NPC Docter so that the older medics can replace him/her.
If I misunderstood and you are going to have this on opening, color me red with embarrassment.

I think the issue is more what can be done in a short time, rather than desire to have it now or later. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

*points upwards* what he said
I would love to have all sorts of nifty things at open, unfortunately I have this annoying thing called a life that keeps me from spending every waking moment working on Haelrahv...
*mutters and walks off trying to figure out a way to work around that irritating road block* _________________ "I'm not quiet...I'm plotting" |

I understand, I'll try to be patient. Honest! I just don't want to wander around wondering what I'm supposed to do.
