Sometimes when whiltting, inscribing, or whatever, if you sent two commands before the first one reacts, you get a double message and the two roundtimes stacked on each other. This also causes odd bugs.
These are two I found in whittling tonight.
You purchase an aefafe block for $40 in credits.
whittle block to hairbeads
You begin cutting an aefafe block into small pieces, forming some hairbeads.
Roundtime: 10 sec.
whittle block to hairbeads
You shape your aefafe block pieces into some crude hairbeads.
Roundtime: 10 sec.
whittle block to hairbeads
whittling block to hairbeads
You finish shaping some aefafe block pieces into hairbeads, carving a hole in the center of each one.

Roundtime: 9 sec.
Roundtime: 22 sec.
Eoko Ashaseeote offers you $258. Are you SURE you want to sell a set of finely-crafted aefafe hairbeads? (Yes/No)
The bug here is that apparently the extra whittle caused the price value of the hairbeads to SKYROCKET. Normally they sell for $110 for me. That one extra whittle snuck in caused it to leap over 100%.
Then this amusing thing came along.

Roundtime: 19 sec.
You tap some aefafe block pieces pieces.
You can't continue to whittle these. They're MUTANTS. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Erm, not only can I not recreate this, but how exactly are you using the verb "whittling" which doesn't even exist? I also checked your logs and you have been using whittle, not whittling. Why is your log edited like this? _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Because I don't have commands echoed locally so I had to manually enter them. and it was late.
This is a minor bug that is seen gamewide as a whole. If the game is even a second lagged, someone can send two commands and have both register before the server (that the right word for it?) can register the first. You then end up with a double roundtime and the action performed twice. Sometimes odd things come from this, sometimes odd things don't come from it.
In the case of whittling, if you can send a double command for the first action, you get 'block pieces pieces'. The second whittle doesn't do anything odd. The third whittle being double commanded skyrockets the value.
I know this happens sometimes for tailoring, too, but I don't know if any pricing happenings have resulted from it. I can test that later tonight.
Uh... but it's okay that I'm testing this bug for the sake of seeing what happens from it, right?
As a final note... it is a bug that I can't always repeat 100%. I'm guessing it's because the system really does try to take each command seperately but sometimes both commands slip by at once. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!
