Is anyone else getting a bit of lag, or is it just my "pretend T3" as I've come to call it?

I can verify there is no server lag (we use like 10% of the server cpu most of the time). I don't think we have any connectivity related lag either. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

It's been laggy for me. I can attest to that. _________________ ** Tanis Loray discovered that birthing mutated clones is quickest through the ribcage.

I seem to not be getting any lag while not using Haelrahv. I've also used my friends' computers and they're not laggy while just using the internet in general.
Dun dun duuunnnnn?

I did traces back to three of your connections and noted no real lag issues anywhere, so I'm really at a loss. The game is very responsive to commands - being local, I can test without regard to internet traffic to get a realtime feel of how the server is handling the load itself, and there is no delay between commands at all locally.
I'll keep an eye out, but right at this moment I don't see anything. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Does anyone have any ideas, then? I've checked for spyware and that's not an issue. That's really the only thing I can think of that could be causing the lag for me. The tech support people for the college's ISP have no clue what it could be, especially since it only manifests when I log into the game.
I'm not trying to come off as saying you're wrong, Trevor. I fully understand that it's more or less on my end (the same for Tshar and Tanis, I'm sure). It's just really irritating. The only thing I can really do is let my foraging script run since it can handle 5-7 second delays. And we all know how intellectually stimulating that is.

I'd try doing things that send constant packets back and forth as opposed to just seeing if you're laggy when using websites. (Play CS or something...).
Lots of colleges tend to put up things that prevent constant packages from being sent back and forth, or your computer may just be FUBARed for the moment and causing it to imporperly handle a steady stream of data. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

No lag for me, if that's any consolation... which it probably isn't. |

Yes, Trevor. I haven't tried logging onto William for the past couple of days, but it's happening with my secondary. This was happening a little bit last weekend (off and on) when I went home, but I figured it was my wireless network and thought nothing of it.
And Yaru, that's a good idea. I'll try Warcraft either later tonight or sometime tomorrow after chem lab. We'll see.

Well, I guess it was just someone downloading massive amounts of porn yesterday. I just logged in and the delay is practically gone now. I still get about a one or two second delay, but that's at least manageable.
Whee.
