2. Medical equipment. I have every intention of working with Drake and setting up existing equipment to be repaired by properly skilled technicians. I can't promise this tomorrow, we haven't even begun working on it, but it is something we have discussed and we want to do. As for Techs creating medical equipment, that is another thing I'd like done, but I don't see it happening for a while. It's definitely on my 'want to do' list, but not on my first priorities list.

I'll bring this up for discussion on Thursday. Wink

News 104 Author: Faith Tempest
[09.23.2004] Medics will now be required to consult with properly trained Technicians on the repair of certain pieces of equipment. At present, this includes Bioscanners, Regenerators, Emitters and Cardiostimulators. Gone are the days of equipment lasting forever without needing repair. On the upside, the equipment can no longer be permanently destroyed by a low level Medic.

News 46 Author: Drake Holton
[09.23.2004] Technicians can now repair the damage that medical devices (including Bioscanners, Regenerators, Emitters and Cardiostimulators) sustain during use. Techs will need to have reached a certain promotion and need a certain amount of research skill in order to do so, however. Each medic tool has a different requirement.

Well, that part is done. Very Happy

I'm not going to tell you which promotion level (that's for GM Drake to do if he wants to), but I will tell you it varies (and makes sense) for each item.

Hm. Just gotta track down a few medics...and find out what order they get their instruments in.

This is excellent Faith and Drake, thanks so much! I like being forced to learn about other professions.

Pretty sure the order is derma -> optical -> cardio.

I'm not sure where the nerve one falls in, but I'm assuming it's between opitical and cardio.

I wonder if you can tell if you can fix an instrument if it isn't broken... Yay trial and error!

The neurolizer is a needle, it wasn't included at this time, neither was the antidote injector (also a needle).

The items included in this update were bioscanner, regenerator, emitter, cardiostimulator.

Why not just test and see.

Sweet, more stuff to tinker with! Yes! Any medics needing my assistance in repairing their devices, i'll take those special massages you all give as tip.

Testing and seeing requires a medic who has broken stuff. Thus far...no medics have broken anything.

It doesn't have to be completely broken in order to fix it. They incur damage through use, and that damage may be repaired at any time. Razz
