I have a bit of a problem. For the past two days, everytime I hunt asapis and eosheais I haven't been able to hit them with any of the weapons I use or while unarmed. Before this problem started I was hitting them about 80% of the time and killing them on an average of 1-4 hits. I posted my stats so someone might be able to point out somewhere where I might have gone wrong, but before this problem occured I hadn't changed any of my stats, just some skills. Hopefully someone can help me out.

It's probably your encumbrance. |

Didn't think my encumberance was that much, but I did add a few weapons to my arsenal which might be weighing me down (a Rtuzma longshot rifle and a zvudrtol [which is a big two-handed sword). So should I raise strength and vitality to get encumberance down? _________________ -Ronst Gahn |

Either that or put some things in your vault while you're not using them. _________________ ~Hunter~ |

Did I forget to mention that I also can't hit them with my ranged weapons either (pulse and marksmanship)? Would encumbrance still affect that? _________________ -Ronst Gahn |

Encumbrance affects it all. You also might have a balance issue. If your skill+encumbrance+etc is putting you on a borderline of effectiveness, good or bad balance could make or break you.
Suggestions:- Allow a critter to attack you until you have achieved better balance.
- Use foot sweeps to get a tagret on the ground which dramatically lower their balance.
- If you get in bad balance, rest a moment.
- Train agility to help balance.
- Train str/vit to help encumbrance (str will help more in this case but you may find vit more useful overall - depends).
- Use eolaish weapons which typically have a bonus to strike.
- Use agility, strength and/or vit potions.

Hmm that's weird that encumbrance would affect ranged weapons, oh well. Anyways, eolaish weapons, what are these and where might I find them? _________________ -Ronst Gahn |

Nevermind I'm dumb, eolaish weapons are made from the race of eolais. (grumble) Besides the Eolai disctrict, where could I find some of these weapons? _________________ -Ronst Gahn |

I always pictured it as... when you used range, you have to be able to move quickly to hit where you want, because the critter is probably always moving around, and encumb. makes it tougher to make those rapid adjustments. But that's just my made-up explanation for it. |

as sir hunter taught me a painful lesson..encumbrance affects EVERYTHING!!!
dont take encumbrance to lightly *couldnt resist the pun, sorry*
only time i hunt with encumbrance is when they are to low to hit me. but when they start landing superficial hits, its time to unload. |

You can have some Eolaish weapons crafted for you at the forge in the Jaddan sector. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I dunno, have you ever tried fireing a gun at a bird, while you have a backpack blocking your head from looking up, because the tent is behind your head? Or try tracking ahead of an animal by the required distance, while you have 45 to 90 pounds of liveing eqpt on your back. Or even with 5 pound weights on your arms. Just the thought of raising your arms to your shoulder level would be painful. |
