Welcome to Tegaro Tannery!
The following outline shows how tan skins and craft your very own armor!
TANNING PROCESS:
----------------
You will need the following items -
A fleshing knife
A scudding knife
A bottle of tanning agent
A tanning room
Apporiate skins, hides, or pelts
Step 1) FLESH skin with fleshing knife
Step 2) Put skin/s in soaking vat
Step 3) Put skin/s and tanning agent into tanning drum (then START the drum; this part takes a while!)
Step 4) SCUD skin/s with scudding knife
Step 5) DYE SKIN while holding the dye jar (this step is optional)
You now have fully tanned skins, hides, or pelts (and perhaps dyed ones as well) that are ready to be crafted into light armor!
ARMOR CRAFTING:
---------------
You will need -
Bundle of enough skins to craft the armor (see chart)
The appropriate armor pattern
Enough skill to make the desired piece (CRAFT LIST)
Attachments (optional)
An armor kit
Step 1) While holding the bundle and pattern, CRAFT <armor item>
Step 2) Once the pattern has been set, hold the project and armoring kit and continue to CRAFT <armor item>
Enjoy!
Master Tanner Neme
* Please note that only like hides can used together when crafting armor, and that dye makes no difference when used for tailoring. *
A piece of crafted armor requires a minimum of skins shown:
Gloves 2
Tasset 2
Boots 3
Mask 3
Coif 3
Helm 3
Gorget 3
Vambraces 3
Shirt 4
Leggings 4
Greaves 6
Tunic 6
Armor 8
Wax: Applied to harden leather
Studs: Applied to produce studded leather
Rings: Applied to produce ringmail leather
Scales: Applied to produce leather jazeraint
Note: Ringmail cannot be used in the crafting of helms, coifs, masks, gloves and boots. |

>start drum
I don't understand that.
>start the drum
I don't understand that.
Maybe the instructions should be changed to: TURN drum
>turn drum
You start an oversized tanning drum. _________________ Lick or Be Licked |

As of this past weekend, the sign already said to use TURN. _________________ Mickey Brunner

So which of these leather types are light armor and which are not? I'm thinking about playing around with this stuff a bit. _________________ Help! Help! I'm being oppressed! |

Anyone know how much light armor it takes to make everything? _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

I have 103 in LA and I can make anything. Not sure when I could because I quit training LA long before I ever knew I could make anything. _________________ Mellie Amresh says, "Send someone with a bigger dick."

Okay, so it's somewhere above 38 and below or up to 74!
We're getting closer!
As an aside, since this relates to armor making...
I know quality for weapons determines the chance of a critical hit (or stronger hits?), how does the quality of armor actually work? Does it help prevent critical hits, stuns, lower physical damage, damage done to vitality, what? _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

The purpose of armor is to lower physical damage taken and quality enhances this. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

So if a chith hits me, I'll get the same vit loss regardless if I'm wearing armor? What about things like armor aura? _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Armor reduces wounds taken, and health point loss. It actually indirectly affects stuns, crits etc too. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
