Wow, lot of dissention over a little grenade. I can see them being sold in Trooper stores, but not necessarily exclusive to those stores. And I think anyone would be able to use them.

also i was pondering the idea of giving troopers something akin to the merc's meditation, except to improve defencive rather than offencive stats (mentality, agility, vitality). |
Perhaps, and actually, I do have an idea in mind for a focus-based power. But I'd also like to say that Troopers are more likely to have item buffs (better armor, high-tech equipment, etc.) than meditative techniques.

dreg had suggested a trooper HQ building on echak perhaps. |
There's already a Trooper Headquarters someplace else, it's just still under construction. _________________ God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.

im glad the grenade idea has recieved so much notice, even if in the agnostic or negative. the key question is whether our leader morrigan is willing to consider it and perhaps code it up. in either case, were still only offering suggestions right now, and what results might be nothing similar. perhaps one of the suggestions will provoke inspiration.
special weapons i am always in favour of, as long as some of those weapons ARE BLADES. ^_~ . im sure we have many pulse enthusiasts out there also, and several troopers who focus on exotic.
that fingerprint-scan idea was just perfect, neif. after all, i cant do much to dreg's pet, so there is a way to consider ownership of an item.
as for grenade-wielding artisans .. they wreak enough havoc with a paintbrush. _________________ You say, "Wisdom, courage, temperance, justice."

BTW I'd like to point out that a key component in many RPG's is the class restriction. For example, in some games, most professions can never wield a large sword or polearm.
While I can understand many would greatly disagree with this concept for sake of realism, and there are no plans to do such things in Haelrahv at this time, it's still a common game concept, and let's face it -- anything that is a common trend in games tends to get a healthy dose of support by those who choose gameplay over realism.
It's just how it is folks. Love it, hate it, it's gaming life. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Yeah I realize that's all unfortunately true. But hey it was just in the idea stage and still up for grabs. If Morrigan had really liked the idea being Trooper-only, then there really wouldn't be much I could do. _________________ ** The phrase "break a leg" just wasn't ambitious enough for Mellie Knight.
