I forgot to list Sha Na Na. Goodnight, sweetheart, goodnight.

Re: GatGR, I made an offhand comment to some other GMs, once upon a time, about getting them to play the speculative HaelCon, but it's probably not going to happen. I've been bugging Henry Lee about them playing in Dallas, to no avail; Gein and company seem to play mostly New England to mid-East Coast shows. Sorry.

Local band here, just spreading them around some. I suggest the track "Coin Operated Boy." It's a good larf if nothing else. Also the website itself is pretty neat for you artsy types to check out.

http://www.penetrators.com/video.html for a great video of the Penetrators' "Redlined".

FYI, El Cerverador del Doom isn't me.

I discur, mostly on the grounds that most of what you hear in the vein of "country" music today is like nothing from the heyday of country musicians like Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Hank Williams, or Patsy Cline.
And, granted, the idea that country music is all the same song about your girlfriend leaving you and your life sucking may be grounded in truth, but I don't think it's too much different than the foundation of most rock/alternative/punk/(gag) emo songs kids get excited about now that basically do the same thing.

Like they say, what do you get when you play a country song backwards? You get your dog back, your house back, your wife back ...
