All of this is subject to change at any time, obviously. The list is new, and has been looked over by Shase, so I think it's mostly in final form, but as things progress, changes could be required.
First, a note on spellsongs. They are considered semi-magical in nature, and are based mostly on the concept of memories affecting the world in real ways. Whether it's a memory of the performer, or a memory buried in the history of a place or object.
The jury is out on how tech will affect spellsongs and vice versa. It is likely but not certain that spellsongs will affect tech and vice versa like magic, but to a far smaller degree. So, it is possible that a teched out performer could exist. It is yet possible that spellsongs will have no effect on tech whatsoever.
There are currently 25 spellsongs on this list. 10 are for the Performer profession only, 18 are open to all professions. These songs are evenly divided amongst each instrument/performance skill, so there are 5 singing, 5 dancing, 5 winds, 5 strings and 5 rhythm.
Many of these spellsongs are self-affecting only (10 of 25), many affect both performer and their group (9 of 25), and several affect the area or area outside of the group (6 of 25).
Songs that affect persons other than the Performer (that is, both group and area effect songs) are unlikely to adversely affect tech for those persons, even if a tech penalty is imposed on the performer.
Finally I should note, while many of these songs are buffs, mainly skill buffs in fact, the bonuses are not huge, but significant.
These songs are learned in order. The only prerequisite is skill.
Songs require focus to power. How many songs one may have in effect at once will depend on one's available focus. There is a song to lengthen durations of songs, and a song to increase focus regeneration, which when both employed, can significantly increase one's ability to power multiple songs.
Performer-only spellsongs are underlined.
And now, the list:
Hymn of Balance
Singing / Self
Increased dancing ability.
Song of Protection
Winds / Group
Increase protection against the elements.
Sailor's Tavern Shanty
Singing / Self
Increase fishing, nautical and streetwise ability.
Ballad of the Sentinel
Strings / Group
Increase magic and psionic resistance.
Dance of Balance
Dancing / Self
Improve acrobatics, armor and shield use ability.
Drummer's Dance
Dancing / Self
Increased rhythm instruments ability.
Song of Memories
Strings / Self
Increase duration of future spell song effects.
Song of Silence
Winds / Area Effect
All outside the group become mute - unable to speak, sing, etc.
Melody of Visions
Winds / Area Effect
Improve drawing, painting, and sculpting ability.
Song of Sorrow
Singing / Self
Should the performer die while in effect, others nearby will be hear a plea for help.
Song of Wind
Winds / Self
Increased wind instruments ability.
March of Time
Rhythm / Group
Reduce roundtimes.
Nature's Song
Winds / Area Effect
Improve ecology, handle animal, riding ability.
Drums of Fear
Rhythm / Area Effect
Induces great fear in all outside of the performer's group.
Soothing Lullaby
Strings / Area Effect
Increase focus, health and stamina regeneration.
Heavenly Song
Strings / Self
Increased singing ability.
Peaceful Lullaby
Strings / Area Effect

Troubadour's Hymn
Singing / Self
Increased stringed instruments ability.
Lucky Man's Jig
Dancing / Group
Increase one's luck. Note: Luck is not used as a stat that affects general performance at this time. So, players will normally have neither good nor bad luck. This ability, however, bestows a small amount of good luck.
Drums of Fortitude
Rhythm / Group
Increase poison resistance.
Dance of Temptation
Dancing / Group
Increase disguise, intimidation and persuasion ability.
March of the Gold Tree Path
Rhythm / Group

Ok, question on what some of the types are. Singing and dancing are obvious to me, but what kind of instruments are woods, and what is rhythm type?
Also, you said wood near the start, but in the list I noticed there were no wood types, but instead 'String'.
I'm guessing you need instruments to do some of these? _________________ Dragoonseal |

My bad, I meant string, winds and rhythm. <g>
Strings are guitars, lutes, violins, etc.
Winds are flutes, trumpets, etc.
Rhythm covers things like drums, electronic keyboards, etc.
While the song names are geared toward particular instruments in some cases, i.e. Drums of Fortitude, any instrument of that skill category will probably be acceptable.
And yes, instruments required for all but singing and dancing types. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I noticed no prereq's on the songs we all can learn. Is that intentional or will that change?
How will we learn these songs, from song scrolls? If song scrolls, will any of these scrolls be found in the treasury system, or will they have to be bought/trainer only?

Right now these are intended as the core songs which will be learnable from a NPC when one is skilled enough. However, you will not choose specific songs, they are learned in order. Two performers with equal skill will likely have the same list of spellsongs in their collection.
That said, some additional songs that are distributed via scrolls or other method, both inside and outside a treasure system, are very likely. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

The following spellsongs are now Performer-only:
March of Time
Dance of Freedom
Lucky Man's Jig
This brings the total Performer-only spellsong count to 10 of the 25 songs. March of Time / Lucky Man's Jig still affects the group, however. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

More changes to spellsongs:
Rather than being learned in order, spellsongs will be learned by studying the music, based on Spell Research skill.
The skill requirements to learn and perform a spellsong will be higher for non-Performers. Additionally, the focus cost to invoke a spellsong will be higher for non-Performers. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Will the Spellsongs be affected by (ie. require) Spell Casting, or just its required instrument skill?

Just the required instrument skill. Since spellcasting is a triple trainable skill however, Performers enjoy excellent access to mage spells. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

As an update to this, I actually just finished the spellsong learning system. There will be a need to repeatedly study a spellsong scroll, or some sheet music, etc., with a lengthy delay between studies. The amount of times one must do this before the song is learned is based on:
- Intellect
- Spell Research skill
- Research skill
- Number of spellsongs already known.
All of those have varying levels of weight. As I mentioned in my prior post, Research is -not- required, but it will speed up the process of learning new songs.
I've also updated the SPELLSONGS verb to list what spellsong you're currently studying and how close you are to completion (roughly).
You can also LOOK at the scrolls, etc, to see what song you can learn from it, what kind of instrument/performance is required, and if it is for Performers only. You will also be notified if you already know the song, or if you are already studying it.
As of the current, you can only study one spellsong at a time though it is not tied in any way to the scroll you're using, you could use multiple scrolls as long as they teach the same song. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Just curious. Instrument (dancing and singing included) skill won't affect the time it takes to learn a spellsong? Also...

...Does this mean the more you know, the quicker you'll learn a new one? Or the opposite? I think the former is what you meant, but it never hurts to annoy you for a clarification.

Yes, the more songs you know, the easier it is to learn more. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I'm updating this list with the 7 additional spellsongs released since this thread's conception. Having read back I see there's a lot of answers to questions I routinely answer for current players, so if you're a new performer or just have questions, don't hestitate to peruse this one again. Following Trevor's old example, Performer-only spellsongs are underlined. These are in no specific order, other than in which I coded them.
Dance of Blades
Dancing / Group
Darju racial: Increased bladed weapons, evasion, and acrobatics.
Reel of the Phantom Hunter
Dancing / Self
Eolai racial: Increase ecology, marksmanship, and tracking.
Empowering Sonata
Strings / Self
Increase capacity for carrying burden.
Housebreaker's Revel
Winds / Group
Increase appraisal, security, and stealth.
Mender's Verse
Singing / Group
Alteri racial: Increased craftsmanship, repair, and tailoring.
Chant of the Great Mother
Singing / Self
Jaddan racial: Increase psionic ability and spellcasting, gain a bonus to max focus.
Rhythmic Calcando
Rhythm / Self
Increase performance speed of future spellsongs for duration. _________________ Mickey Brunner
