I was wondering a bit about this and saw an old post, thought id ask a few questions here about stealth attacks in 'live' and if there will be any possibilities like the following ideas. . .also Im sure they have already been thought of but here they are. . .
- Sniping rifles. Rifles equiped with scopes that enable you to aim from 1-2 rooms away and shoot someone.
- A true stealthy ambush? Attack from hiding. . .with skill checks of course. . .if all the skill checks are passed it wont show who made the attack. . .the results of a succesful hit would have varying affects. . .stuns. . .knock down. . even instant death depending on skills/stats and other various things.
- Poisoning someones drink or food. If someone is holding food or drink. . .could maybe slip some poison in.
Thats all I can think of right now. . .are any of these ideas feasible? Id like to see 'real' assasinations. This was talked about a little bit in another old thread. .really old. I did a search for snipe and sniping and read a bit about it. Now that we are getting close to live. . .well i dunno if thats true. . but alot closer than a year ago. . .just wanted to ask about this. My primary character may be a trooper now but Ive been thinking about switching professions depending on what cool mechanics are planned for 'live'. _________________ It is better to be pissed off than pissed on. |

Each of these will have to be reviewed carefully. The biggest concerns I have are:
* People abusing AI mechanics in NPC's to get easy kills without recourse.
* People getting pissed off because some mystery player keeps killing them.
* Stealth attacks as a whole become way too powerful.
Kinda reminds me of the ambushing issue in GS3 a few years back. Each body area could only sustain a few significant hits before it was destroyed, and ambusing both let you aim and do more damage to that body area. Result was a lot of people hiding, amushing head once, game over. It wasn't balance in any sense of the word. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
