Note: These numbers are approximated by necessity, and partially by laziness.

One Essence Point (EP) is the smallest directly measurable quantity of essence, defined here as 1% essence at 1 charisma. I.e. for each point of charisma, you gain 100 essence points.

Essence Use For Troopers
Code:

Part     EP
Eyes     480
Hand     480
Foot     480
Arm      1400  (Includes hand)
Leg      1680  (Includes foot)


This puts a trooper at 67 charisma for full cyber. Using dlnexus' figure of 85 charisma for non-trooper gives:

Essence Use for Non-Troopers
Code:

Part     EP
Eyes     600
Hand     600
Foot     600
Arm      1750  (Includes hand)
Leg      2100  (Includes foot)


Of course, these are just round numbers.

While we're on the subject, is there a reason why joints only give +2, whereas pistons give +4? I seem to vaguely remember joints giving +3 when I first got cyber, and was wondering why it had changed.

The +4 was a mistake on my part, both should be +2. It's fixed now. By the way, joints were never +3, unless someone messed with it without me knowing :glances at Hunter:

Actually...it took me exactly 75 charisma as a human trooper to get fully cybered. Perhaps race places a factor into this? I would imagine Eolai, for instance, would require more charisma than say...a jaddan... to get fully cybered due to size, compatability (for race/measurement), and misc. factors. Where as humans would be a middle ground and Darju would probably require more since, according to their info on the website (has been removed since i last saw it appereantly), they dislike new technology and focus more on their own abilities.... Although Darju seems most popular for Troopers who get the bonus towards essence for the stuff? <shrug> But back on subject...yeah...huamn trooper takes 75 charisma exacltly with 4% essence left over.
