I mean in general.

And yes, all the brokers I've used so far have undoubtedly gotten me more money for my items than I could have myself. So I happily tip them.

That's the great thing about a fee, you don't have to tip.
With a fee, I can't ask for my money back if someone does a shitty job.

No. I always, always, always, ALWAYS tip for services rendered. If I don't have money, I go and get it. But being forced or reminded is not a TIP, it's a FEE.
